Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl announces Dec. 30 kickoff in Dallas

FORT WORTH, TEXAS, April 19, 2011 – The Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl will return to Dallas for the second-straight year as the ninth edition of the nationally-televised postseason college football bowl game on ESPN will be played Friday, Dec. 30, at SMU’s Gerald J. Ford Stadium with an 11 a.m. CST kickoff.

2011 NFL Draft Features Three BHAFB Participants

Fort Worth, Texas, May 2, 2011 – Led by SMU’s Aldrick Robinson, three players that participated in a Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl were selected in the 2011 National Football League draft during the three-day process in New York. A 5-10, 184-pound wide receiver that played in the 2010 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl for the Mustangs against Army, Robinson was selected in the sixth-round by the Washington Redskins (178th pick overall). In SMU’s 16-14 setback to Army, Robinson caught five passes for 176 yards and an eight-yard third quarter touchdown pass for quarterback Kyle Padron. Continue reading
