Fort Worth, Texas, May 2, 2011 – Led by SMU’s Aldrick Robinson, three players that participated in a Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl were selected in the 2011 National Football League draft during the three-day process in New York. A 5-10, 184-pound wide receiver that played in the 2010 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl for the Mustangs against Army, Robinson was selected in the sixth-round by the Washington Redskins (178th pick overall). In SMU’s 16-14 setback to Army, Robinson caught five passes for 176 yards and an eight-yard third quarter touchdown pass for quarterback Kyle Padron. Continue reading →
