Air Force continues Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl tradition

The United States Air Force Academy has accepted a bid to play in the 2012 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl. Since adopting the “armed forces” theme in 2006, the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl will feature a service academy team for the fifth time as the Falcons are slated to play a team from Conference USA in the postseason bowl game on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas.

Joe Theismann to Serve as Keynote Speaker at Team Kickoff Luncheon

Joe Theismann, an entrepreneur and former star quarterback for the Washington Redskins, has been named the keynote speaker of the 2012 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl Team Kickoff Luncheon, presented by the Omni Fort Worth Hotel and American Airlines. Held at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel, the luncheon will take place at noon (CT) on Friday, Dec. 28, the day prior to the 10th anniversary of the postseason bowl game. American’s sponsorship stems from its long-standing support for military, veterans and their families. Continue reading

Armed Forces Bowl renews charitable partnership with Armed Services YMCA

The Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) has once again joined forces with the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl for the 2012 postseason bowl game as one of the bowl’s official charity partners.

“We are very thankful Armed Services YMCA has chosen to continue to work with us,” said Brant Ringler, executive director of the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl. “Through their innovative programs, the Armed Services YMCA makes military life easier for young enlisted military and their families.”
