On Thursday after the final practice before the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl Game, the Air Force Falcons made their way to Four Day Weekend and Reata's in downtown for a bit of a break.
At Four Day Weekend senior tight end Austin Briehl, sophomore running back Jon Lee and captain and senior fullback/linebacker Alex Means were pulled out of the crowd to help with improvisation comedy. The team shared laughter and jokes as the night went and enjoyed it. Freshman linebacker Connor Healy expressed his enjoyment of the event.
"They were hilarious," Healy said. "It was really fun with the team and there were a bunch of inside jokes."
Once the comedy was finished the team was led, after a short wait, into Reata's restaurant. The team split up with most of the players enjoying the dome at the top of the restaurant and they feasted on salad and steak which offensive lineman Jerry Henry attested to.
"It was good," Henry said. "I liked the steak, the food was good."
Players noted that their time in Fort Worth has been very much appreciated. After all the fun and games the players still realize that the main goal is to get a win on Saturday.
"Everything's been great." Healy said. "It's been a fun experience but we have to win on Saturday."
The teams look to enjoy their last day before the game full of events tomorrow such as press conferences, a luncheon, and a pep rally to close out the festivities before playing in something more than a game on Saturday.
