"More Than A Bowl Game"
The Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl is active in the Dallas-Fort Worth communities throughout the year. From military bases, to DFW Airport, to children’s hospitals, the bowl seeks to give back to the community in a variety of ways.
While in Fort Worth for bowl week, players, cheerleaders and mascots from each team participate in the "Welcome Home A Hero" program at DFW Airport where they greet men and women returning home from overseas.
They also take time to visit Cook Children’s Hospital where they put smiles on the faces of the children and their families staying there by sharing their stories, bringing gifts and signing autographs.
The bowl devotes time throughout the year to pay tribute to those who serve our country. Through our corporate ticket military underwriting program and the generosity of our partners, more than 6,000 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl tickets were distributed this past year to active duty military personnel and their families.
