6th Annual Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl Golf Tournament

On September 28, the 6th annual Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl Golf Tournament was held to thank those that contributed to a successful 2008 bowl game.

Held at Bear Creek Golf Club, this event included 204 players from more than 60 corporate partner companies. Plus, we were once again honored to have representatives from all five branches of the military attend: Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard.

Armed Forces Insurance Announces Second-Year Partnership With Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl

FORT WORTH, Texas, September 30, 2009 — Armed Forces Insurance (AFI) (afi.org) is gearing up for its second year as the exclusive and Official Insurance Partner of the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl, with a variety of new activities planned for the seventh annual post-season collegiate football game.

Late Morning Kickoff for 2009 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl

Fort Worth, Texas, July 1, 2009 – The 2009 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl will kick off at 11 a.m. CT as the postseason college football game ushers in the New Year for the third straight year at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

The Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl, which is owned and operated by ESPN Regional Television (ERT), will be televised live on ESPN from Amon G. Carter Stadium on Thursday, Dec. 31.  The seventh edition of the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl will feature a team from Conference USA against a team from the Mountain West Conference.

After four consecutive years of being played before Christmas, on December 23, the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl joined the New Year’s Eve schedule in 2007.  Schools from the Pacific 10 Conference and Conference USA have posted wins over Mountain West representative Air Force for the past two years, with those games each attracting more than 40,000 fans.  Cal scored a 42-36 come-from-behind win over Air Force in 2007, and the Falcons dropped a 34-28 decision to Houston in 2008.  The attendance figure ranked among the best in the 80-season history of Amon G. Carter Stadium.
